SBI RECRUITMENT FOR 7740 CLERKS APPLY NOW!!!!!!
State Bank of India now going to start new recruitment process for clerical cadre (clerk) post for its 5 associate bank’s. It is one of the biggest recruitment project from SBI and it is second recruitment project for the year 2012. First was for 8500 clerk and 1000 assistant. 

On 30th July, 2012 bank will open online registration for 7740 clerk jobs, for associate banks. Last date to submit application form online mode only is 13th Aug, 2012. Below are the basic SBI Recruitment 2012 details, which are important to know before taking any decision.

Age restriction for general category candidate is 18 – 28 yrs. Age criteria applied as on 1.8.2012. Application who applying under SC,ST,OBC,EXS and PWD may see full advertisement for upper age relaxation. Candidates who are taking any upper age relaxation may note that bank will give relaxation against original certificate, which will be required at the time of personal interview. Those who failed to produce this will be out of this recruitment process.

If we discuss about educational qualification required for SBI clerk post, minimum higher Secondary (12th) passed with 60% for general and 55% for SC,ST,EXS and PWD.  Candidates who completed any degree from any discipline also eligible for this post.
     SBI will invite all eligible candidates who applied for this post for written test. Candidates who successfully qualified in this test have to go through personal interview test. After this bank will announce final list of candidates who selected for this post.

All candidates have to deposit application fee determined by SBI, Rs. 350 for General and OBC category candidates and Rs. 50 for SC,ST,PWD,EXSM category candidates. Two options available to deposit fee, first option is offline mode, candidates just need to submit application form online and on 2nd working day deposit fee at any SBI’s branch. Online mode is also very simple, candidates can deposit fee online at the time of online registration through debit card or credit card.

Bank announced there requirements through advertisement number CRPD/CR/2011-12/5A. In this advertisement bank showing that they will appoint 9500 candidates, distribution of vacancies are as under:

Clerk – Assistant : Total 8500 jobs (3145 for General / Unreserved, 2069 for SC, 1337 for ST and 1949 for OBC category candidates).

Stenographer Hindi/English: Total 1000 jobs (537 for General / Unreserved, SC-134, ST-70 and OBC-250)

Age Limit: Bank has decide age eligibility between 18 – 28 years, as on 1/12/2012. Age relaxation for reserved category + 3 years for OBC category candidates, + 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates.

  • Qualification: 10+2 (XII) passed with 60% aggregate marks or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of local language.
  • Candidates should have ability to read, write and speaking knowledge of English language.

This time state bank of India changed the application fee procedure, now candidates needs to submit online application first at www.sbi.co.in or www.statebankofindia.com website


After 2 days of successfully applied candidates needs to deposit fee online or offline mode.
